Packaging your Mac

Select a sturdy cardboard box

Choose a sturdy cardboard box slightly larger than your Mac to allow for protective padding. If using the original box, please ensure the Apple or MacBook branding is fully concealed by wrapping the outside. Note: Shipping with the original box visible will void your insurance coverage.

Protect your Mac with sufficient padding

Wrap your Mac securely in bubble wrap, ensuring at least one inch of padding on all sides – ensure the Mac is snugly packed with sufficient padding to prevent movement within the box. Make sure to tape the box thoroughly to prevent it from opening during transport.

Remove all accessories

Do not include any cables, power adapters, or other accessories. The sharp prongs of the adapter can scratch or damage your Mac’s chassis. Additionally, remove any camera covers or keyboard covers. These items can crack the screen during transit, and if they do, insurance will not cover the damage, as proper packaging is required.

Shipping label provided

Royal Mail will provide the shipping label upon collection, so there is no need to attach one to the box.

By following these guidelines, you can ensure that your Mac is securely packaged and will arrive safely at our repair facility. If you have any questions about packaging or shipping your Mac, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
