Genuine LCD Panels
We fit genuine LG display panels — the same OEM panels Apple uses when MacBooks leave the factory. We do not fit the cheap third-party screens that compromise brightness, colour accuracy or true black, which is what cuts most independent repair shops’ prices. Our prices are still a fraction of Apple’s, because we replace only what is damaged: the LCD panel itself. Your original aluminium chassis, sensors, backlight, top-case housing and display flex cables are kept and re-used.
We carry out LCD-only replacements on cracked screens, internal cracks (where the glass is intact but the panel underneath has fractured), dead pixel clusters, dark patches and bleed, vertical or horizontal lines, ghosting, ‘white screen’ / ‘black screen’ no-display faults, and screens that are visibly intact but not turning on. If you are not sure your screen is the actual fault, send us a clear photo via the contact page and we will tell you before you book.

MacBook Air Screen Replacement
We perform MacBook screen repairs with the utmost care and precision, using a forensic-grade laminar-flow hood (AirScience — the same class of equipment used in UK forensics laboratories) to prevent dust ingress during the repair process. Our technicians wear forensic suits and KN95 masks, ensuring the cleanest possible environment for replacing your MacBook’s LCD panel to the highest standard.
We also wear medical-grade latex gloves so the backlight sheets are never touched by bare skin — even microscopic skin oils show up as visible smudges between the panel layers once the screen is back together. This level of contamination control is what makes an LCD-only replacement viable as a long-term repair, rather than the all-or-nothing top-case swap Apple’s own service offers.
How do you know your MacBook needs a screen replacement? The most reliable signs:
- Visible cracks or impact marks on the glass, even hairline ones — once the seal is broken, dust and moisture will follow.
- Dark patches, bleed or ‘ink stain’ marks spreading across the panel — usually indicates the LCD layer itself has been damaged from impact or pressure.
- Vertical or horizontal coloured lines that stay on screen regardless of what is displayed.
- Dead pixel clusters or large dim/bright areas, especially after a knock or fall.
- ‘White screen’, ‘black screen’ or no image at all while the MacBook is clearly powered on (you can hear the boot chime, the backlight glows, or it shows up on an external monitor).
If your screen is still visually intact but you have ghosting, flickering, or the image only shows at certain angles, the issue may be the display flex cable rather than the panel itself — please book a Diagnostic Service first. We will tell you if the panel is fine before fitting one.

We've been at our Bournemouth workshop in Winton since 2010 — not a faceless industrial estate, so you can drop in if you prefer.
In over a decade of business, we have heard endless grievances from our customers about other repair shops and even the Apple Store. Lack of transparency about pricing and what work is actually required is the most frequent complaint.
Shops regularly underquote, underdiagnose and then the price increases once they have your Mac in their possession. Customers then feel pressured to go ahead and authorise the repair.
To resolve this, we charge a fixed price for our repairs - so you know exactly what you are paying before your Mac leaves your hands- we then give you a full diagnostic and explain how we resolved your issue once our technicians have assessed your Mac.
Fixed, Upfront Pricing. No Surprises.
