Our Process
Quote & Booking
To begin, simply click on “Select Problem & Book Repair” above. From there, you’ll be guided to a page where you can choose from a list of common issues. If your specific problem isn’t listed, no worries—just select our Diagnostic Service and provide a brief description of the issue. Our team will review the details and get in touch if we need more information.
Collection Date & Packing
On the booking form, you’ll have the flexibility to schedule a collection date that suits you—whether it’s the next working day or later in the week. Once your booking is confirmed, pack your Mac securely in a plain, unmarked cardboard box to protect it during transit (note: revealing that a Mac is inside voids the insurance).
Insurance
We include £750 insurance at no extra cost, and if needed, you can opt for additional coverage of £1,000 or £2,500 for added peace of mind.
Step 1: Booking & Collection
Confirmation of Arrival
Once your Mac arrives at our store, you’ll receive an email confirmation from Royal Mail, complete with GPS coordinates and a delivery photo—giving you peace of mind that your device has been safely delivered.
Assessment
Upon arrival, we begin by assessing the overall condition of your Mac. We log its serial and model numbers, and note any visible damage. Your device is then assigned to a technician, following a first-come, first-served process. The technician conducts a thorough inspection, addressing the issue you reported, while also checking for any additional concerns. We run Apple Diagnostics to ensure your Mac is performing to Apple’s specifications.
Should we discover any issues beyond what was initially reported, we will place the repair on hold and contact you immediately. No further work will be carried out without your approval.
Repair and Testing
Once the repair is completed, we manually test your device to confirm the issue has been fully resolved, and we run Apple Diagnostics again for a final check.
When everything is in perfect working order, we will send your invoice directly to your provided email address.
Step 2: Assessment and Repair
Once payment is received, your Mac undergoes a final round of testing by a separate technician to ensure nothing is overlooked, ruling out any human error. After confirming everything is in perfect working order, your Mac is carefully packed for safe return delivery.
As part of our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint, all of our packaging—including boxes, bubble wrap, and other materials—is reused. By giving these items a longer life, we minimise waste and reduce our environmental impact, helping to protect the planet.
Royal Mail will email you on the day of delivery, providing confirmation and tracking details to ensure peace of mind.
