MacBooks are equipped with internal protections that limit audio output levels to protect the speaker drivers from damage. These built-in measures are designed to prevent excessive volume that could cause distortion or permanent harm. However, despite these protections, there are rare instances where speaker drivers may still become damaged. This typically results in symptoms such as crackling, distortion, or low-quality audio.
If no audio is produced at all – a malfunctioning audio jack may be the cause Usually, this happens when debris or dust, gets stuck inside the port. This can either prevent headphones from working, Getting rid of whatever’s stuck in there can be tricky and often requires special tools and know-how. You might notice problems like sound cutting in and out, static noise, or no sound at all when using headphones.

I recently had my 2017 iMac fail. I put quote requests out none replied, only bits. I was told the price for repairs up front. They fitted a new power supply which got it working but found another fault on the motherboard which they fixed. I was kept informed and had explanation of my repairs. I would recommend them for a first class price and service. Well done to all.

This company is great. I dropped my MacBook and needed a new screen started of and messaged them on their WhatsApp link and they gave me costs and explained the process. When I arrived there the lady on the reception was really nice had a small chat and we picked it up later that day and Mac screen is like new really impressed with their services. After shopping around for a reasonably priced MacBook Air screen replacement and receiving several quotes that were far from affordable, I came across BITS through a recommendation on Perplexity.

I had a really positive experience of BITS. I took in my iMac in with a suspected power supply issue, mid-afternoon. The following morning (just 18 hours later) I was contacted to say that the replacement power supply was fitted and diagnostic checks were complete. I went in to collect and was given space and time to start-up and check the computer.
I'm really pleased with the service as well as the courteous and efficient dealings with Muhammad and Adam. Good price too, I imagine a fraction of the Apple price!

Very helpful, took my laptop for the first time and got it fixed super quickly. There seemed to be a problem a little after with the screen, took it in again and they sorted it out very quickly again and with no fuzz under the warranty, even gave me advice on other non-related problems I had. Decent!

Great job. My daughter had destroyed the screen and chassis of her iPad pro 12.9 and then it stopped working. BITS were up front and transparent about costs, they ordered a new motherboard, replaced the screen and put in a new charging port. All for a fair price. Good comms, nice people.
