Royal Mail are one of, if not the best postal service in the UK – when selecting a courier to use for our nationwide service, price was not a concern, only reliability and convenience for our customers. Royal Mail scan parcels at every station and every time it changes hands, so there is a full forensic log available if an insurance claim must be made.
We have sent over half a million pounds worth of Macs – we have never had a package lost, stolen or damaged in transit whilst using Royal Mail, and so we are pleased to select them for our repair service. We use their Special Delivery by 1pm service, which is insured to £750 – for extra coverage, you can also select £1000 and £2,500 insurance for an additional fee.
The box you send your Mac in must not reveal the contents, as this voids the insurance – some customers have sent the original box – do NOT do this unless it is covered by a postage bag to conceal the contents. Please pack your Mac safely and ensure it is padded from all angles so that it can survive any drops, the original box is extremely solid for this reason.
You will receive both an email and SMS on the day of delivery, normally with a time slot, so you can rest assured your Mac will be just as safe as if you were walking into our store. We always repack your Mac so even if it is sent in with lacklustre packaging, it will be posted back safely.
